SIMPLE SKIN CARE ROUTINE FOR BUSY LIVES

There are some basics that are essentials when it comes to skin care and home skin care regimes. We can keep it really simple and make our lives easier in times when the going gets tough and life gets busy.

Don’t get caught up in using multiple serums if you just do not have the time. You skin craves 3 things. Try my 3 steps and then any additional steps you take is then a bonus. These 3 steps make up a simple skin care routine for busy lives.

Firstly, though I want to make sure you are using the right skin care for your skin type and condition. Using 10 products that are not designed for skin can actually make your skins condition worse than using my 3 product steps with products that are perfect for your skins complexion and type.

Step 1: Your skin LOVES to be cleansed morning and night. Pollution, dirt, grime and end of day make up has no place on your face. Cleansing also allows step 2 and 3 to work more efficiently.

Step 2: Exfoliate at least once a week. 1-2 times is the average. If you feel you need more than 2 times a week, you may consider using an AHA product instead some of the other nights like the Alpha-H Liquid Gold or the Aspect Exfol-L. Shed the dead layer of skin and let the world see your beautiful healthy skin cells.

Step 3: Moisturise morning and night and protect with SPF in the day. Your skin loves a moisturiser just as much as our bodies love you drinking a glass of water or 2 or 3 or 8. No your skin does not need to “breathe” overnight. I love this line some companies use; your skin is a living organ and respiration occurs with a moisturiser or without moisturiser. Your skin will not suffocate if you apply a cream of a night. Between the hours of 1-4am your body is at its peak with repair to tissues and cells. Moisturiser before bed is the perfect way to support and feed the skin necessary nutrients it needs to perform that repair process more efficiently.

Follow these 3 steps for a simple, short and sweet routine morning and night (step 2 is only 1-2 times a week) and your skin will be satisfied with what you are feeding it. If you then get some extra time in your busy life you may decide to add in an eye cream, mask, or serum.
